Weihai, located in Jiaodong Peninsula and surrounded by the sea on three sides, has unique seaside tourism resources. In recent years, it has also built a large number of scenic spots such as CCTV Weihai film and television city and Xixiakou wildlife park, which is one of the first batch of excellent tourism cities in China. In 1990 and 1999, it was rated as "the best model city for human habitation" by the United Nations. In the past decade, the social economy of Weihai City has undergone tremendous changes. The trade with neighboring South Korea has developed rapidly, and a large-scale "Weihai South Korea economic and Trade Fair" has been set up on a regular basis. But so far, there is not a large-scale exhibition center in the city. This is not in line with the ever expanding scale of Weihai's foreign trade economy. Therefore, it is urgent to build an international exhibition center in Weihai. Weihai International Convention and Exhibition Center plans to invest 800 million yuan in total, covering an area of 100000 square meters and a total construction area of 80000 square meters. After the completion of the center, it mainly holds various large-scale conferences, exhibitions and expositions at home and abroad, integrates exhibition, trade, conference, entertainment, diet and other functions into one, and with its magnificent momentum, perfect design and excellent facilities, it has become the city logo and important public welfare facilities of Weihai City. It is estimated that 200 million yuan of direct economic benefits and 800 million yuan of indirect economic benefits will be generated each year.  

Exhibition hall scale
The exhibition center is planned as an indoor exhibition hall, central square and relevant supporting functional areas. The main body of the whole venue is designed with column free structure, with a total construction area of 55800 square meters, a building height of 22.65 meters, an indoor exhibition area of 26600 square meters, and an outdoor exhibition area of 9000 square meters. It can hold various exhibitions, exhibition and sales activities, indoor sports activities, etiquette performances Art activities, etc.
The building functions of Weihai International Exhibition Center mainly include indoor exhibition hall (a, B and C), conference room, business negotiation room, office, equipment room, central square, parking space, etc.

At the bottom of a and C pavilions, there is an overhead floor with special exhibition and sales, warehouse, commercial rooms, etc.

The main trading hall on the first floor (8100 M2 each) is 7.5 to 17.5 meters high. Visitors can get there directly from the central square along the steps or escalators. Exhibits and goods can be transported by truck ramps.

The exhibition area on the second floor is distributed on the north and south sides of the main trading hall. There are escalators that can go directly from the main trading hall, and the goods are transported vertically through the freight elevator.

The third floor is equipped with meeting room, negotiation room and office room.  

Hall B has a 2200m2 hall on the first floor, which can be used for holding large-scale etiquette activities and also as a temporary trading hall. There is a catering service area in the overhead floor.
