The China Sports Museum is located on Anding Road, Beijing. It is located in the southeast corner of the National Olympic Sports Center. The entire building opens in an octagonal fan shape and spirally rises, symbolizing the development of China's sports industry. On September 22, 1990, the China Sports Museum officially opened. It has undergone a ten-year long incubation process, from the National Sports Commission's Seventh Five-Year Plan to its implementation. Samaranch's attention was generously donated by Mr. Huo Yingdong, and many heroes behind the scenes paid hard work and sweat for this. Today, it has a unique style, covering an area of 7,100 square meters, and showcases the brilliant achievements of China's sports development with themes of ancient Chinese sports, modern Chinese sports, sports achievements of the People's Republic of China, and national sports.

        The museum also hosts a variety of temporary exhibitions, such as the 11th Asian Games Education Philatelic Exhibition (a total of 207 stamps with a total of 1374 frames in 30 countries and regions, which is Asia's largest special postal exhibition), and a tour to promote the spirit of the Beijing Asian Games , Competing for the 2000 Olympics exhibition, the Olympics Centennial Exhibition, Chinese athletes in Barcelona, the open China looking forward to the Olympics, etc., more than 200,000 visitors to the museum each year.
