Yuxi museum is a comprehensive museum integrating collection, display, scientific research and foreign publicity and exchange, covering an area of 40 mu, with a building area of 12076 square meters and a total investment of more than 60 million yuan. The architectural form is novel and unique. There are more than 10000 cultural relics in the collection, including hundreds of precious cultural relics. Seven basic exhibition halls are set up to display the fossils of Cambrian Chengjiang fauna, Jurassic dinosaur fossils, Yunnan bronze relics unearthed from Lijiashan, etc., reflecting the characteristic cultural resources of Yuxi. At the same time, it holds rich temporary exhibitions and receives nearly 200000 visitors annually. It is a provincial patriotism education base and popular science education base.

Yuxi Museum has eight basic exhibitions and a temporary exhibition hall, covering an area of more than 5000 square meters, including the hall of paleontology, the hall of new and old stone tools, the hall of bronzes, the hall of porcelain, the hall of calligraphy and painting, the hall of modern history, the hall of culture and art, and the hall of tobacco.
