Salt Palace Conference Center is located in the center of Salt Lake City, with a total area of 80000 square meters, of which 50000 square meters can be exhibited.

Salt Palace Conference Center, also known as Calvin Lampton Salt Palace Conference Center, is usually called Salt Palace, which was previously used by two other venues in Salt Lake City. The first Salt Palace (1899-1910) was designed and built by Richard kletting in 1899 and jointly by John health. It is located in the south part between the Salt Lake City State Street and the main street. The original salt palace contains a dance hall, theater, and racetrack. It was destroyed on August 29, 1910, and replaced by the majestic hall. The current conference center of the second Salt Palace (1969-1994) has 515000 square feet (47800 square meters) of exhibition space and 164000 square feet (15200 square meters) of conference space, including a 45000 square feet (4200 square meters) grand ballroom and 66 conference rooms. Salt Palace also served as the Olympic media center at the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. In September 2013, the comic book of the salt lake animation exhibition was held in the Salt Palace Convention Center every two years. The Republican presidential candidate debate hosted by Fox News is planned to be held in the Salt Palace Convention Center on March 21, 2016.
