Hangzhou Peace International Exhibition Center is affiliated to Zhejiang Peace Industry and Trade Group Corporation. The Peace Group was established in the 1990s.         Hangzhou Peace International Conference and Exhibition Center was founded in 1998. In April 2003, on the west side of the original exhibition hall, Zhejiang Province Agricultural Exhibition Hall, a key provincial and municipal project approved by the People's Government of Zhejiang Province, was completed and put into use, with a total investment of more than 250 million yuan. The exhibition center composed of the new and old pavilions has become the main building of the Hangzhou Municipal Government's key project “Peace Square”.

        The new building of Hangzhou Peace International Convention and Exhibition Center (Zhejiang Agricultural Exhibition Center) has a construction area of 61,000 square meters. The supporting 20-storey (partial 21-storey) commercial building has a construction area of 25,370 square meters. The new hall is integrated with the original 58,000 square meters exhibition hall and can accommodate 1,100 international standard booths. It is one of the main venues of Hangzhou West Lake Expo.
