The new sports center is located in the western suburb of Wuxi City, north of Taihu Avenue, west of Qingqi road and south of Jianzhu Road, covering an area of 440000 square meters. The first phase of the project has been put into use, and the second phase is planned to start at the end of 2002, mainly including 6600 people's Gymnasium (with exhibition function), indoor tennis hall, swimming and diving hall, shooting and archery hall, athletes' apartment (Sports Hotel), sports school and other venues. At that time, Wuxi will have a modern sports center with leading level, first-class facilities and perfect functions, and will become a landmark project to fully demonstrate the achievements of Wuxi's modernization construction.
