Dalian Free Trade Zone International Convention and Exhibition Center

The Management Committee of Dalian area of China (Liaoning) free trade zone learned that Dalian Free Trade Area won the third place in the world's best free trade area and the champion in the Asia Pacific region in the ranking of the world's best free trade area in 2021 recently released by the FDI magazine of the financial times.

Among the top ten free trade zones this year, China has two free trade zones selected, of which Dalian Free Trade Zone ranks third and Shanghai Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone ranks fourth. The first place is Dubai DMCC Free Trade Zone, and the second place is Mauritius free trade port.

FDI magazine commented that Dalian Free Trade Zone is the largest free trade zone in northern China, with more than 27000 active small and medium-sized enterprises. The area inherits the tradition of promoting policy reform and industrial innovation in China's pilot area since the 1980s. In terms of reducing carbon emissions, relying on the layout of hydrogen energy industrial park, Dalian free trade area closely follows China's "2060 carbon neutralization" strategy. In addition, the area is transforming from an export-oriented economy to a "double cycle", helping China's Haier refrigerator turn losses into profits. In 2020, under the influence of the epidemic, the output increased against the trend, with a year-on-year increase of 37%. In terms of infrastructure, the upgrading of two comprehensive bonded areas has been completed, the International Convention and Exhibition Center of the free trade zone has been built, and will enjoy the dividend of being adjacent to the new Dalian Airport in the future.
