Shanghai global financial hub is a project invested and built by moribuilding Corporation of Japan and more than 40 enterprises including Japan and the United States, with a total investment of more than 105 billion yen (more than 1 billion US dollars). The original design height is 460 meters, the project area is 30000 square meters, the total construction area is 381600 square meters, adjacent to Jinmao building. After the start of construction in early 1997, due to the impact of the Asian financial crisis, the project was once shut down. The project was resumed in February 2003. But at that time, 480 meter skyscrapers were under construction in both Taipei and Hong Kong, exceeding the original design height of the global financial center. As the original intention of Japan to build the world's tallest building remains unchanged, the original design scheme has been modified. The revised global financial center has 7 more floors than the original one, i.e. 100 floors above the ground and 3 floors underground, with a total floor area of about 377300 square meters.
