Zhejiang Provincial Museum was founded in 1929, formerly known as "West Lake Museum". Located at the south foot of the isolated mountain of the West Lake in Hangzhou, the scenery is picturesque and pleasant. Part of the old site of Zhejiang museum is Wenlan Pavilion, a famous library in Jiangnan. In 1993, the reconstruction and expansion project of Zhejiang Provincial Museum was completed.
