Qinghai Provincial Museum is located at No. 58, Xiguan Street, Chengxi District, Xining city. It is a museum like cultural tourism scenic spot and a national 4A tourist attraction. It is the first large museum with modern functions in Qinghai. Covering an area of 17000 square meters, with a building area of 20800 square meters, there are 9 main and side exhibition halls inside. The overall building adopts the traditional method of axial symmetry, with strong national and local characteristics, and exudes a strong sense of the times, adding a beautiful landscape to the ancient city of Xining.  

At the beginning of the museum, all the museum people, with the core of building a good image and giving full play to social functions, have successively launched a series of exhibitions that are suitable for current events and welcomed by the masses, and have been widely praised by all sectors of society. It has been awarded the titles of "provincial patriotism education base", "school moral education base", "national advanced collective of cultural relics security work", "advanced collective of tourism work of the whole city", "national excellent patriotism education base" by relevant departments, and has been rated as municipal civilized unit for many times.  

At present, the permanent exhibitions include: jiangheyuan civilization - Qinghai historical and cultural relics exhibition and Qinghai intangible cultural heritage exhibition, which comprehensively display the long and splendid history and culture and rich and colorful national culture of all ethnic groups in Qinghai from different perspectives. In addition, various kinds of temporary exhibitions with knowledge and education are held irregularly every year.
