Introduction

Yangzhou Chinese Engraving and Printing Museum and Yangzhou Museum New Pavilion (referred to as "Shuangbo Pavilion") are located in the western part of Yangzhou New City. The natural scenery of the artificial lake is measured west, and it is across the lake from the Yangzhou International Exhibition Center. The architectural appearance of Shuangbo Pavilion fully reflects the design concept of harmonious unity between man and nature, and integration of architecture and nature. The total area of the building is 50730M2, the building area is 22146.99M2, and the exhibition area is 10000M2.

The predecessor of Shuangbo Museum was Yangzhou Museum. The history of the Yangzhou Museum can be traced back to the Yangzhou "Cultural Relic Museum" established in 1951 and the "North Jiangsu Museum" to be built in the same year. After more than 50 years of development, the Yangzhou Museum has formed a collection structure with rich collections, complete categories, and distinctive local characteristics, especially the cultural relics of the Han Dynasty and the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The museum has more than 30,000 cultural relics, which can be divided into 18 categories according to texture, mainly ceramics, jade, metal, calligraphy and painting, lacquerware, bamboo and wood, bone corner teeth, epitaph inscriptions, stone carvings and other cultural relics. There are more than 50 first-class products, more than 300 second-class products, and more than 1,000 third-class products. The Chinese treasure-level cultural relics, "Yuan Dynasty blue-glazed white dragon plum bottles" are treasures of our museum, attracting a large number of experts and scholars. In August 2003, the State Council approved Yangzhou to establish the Yangzhou Chinese Engraving and Printing Museum, which combined the 300,000 ancient book editions collected by the Yangzhou Guangling Book Company with the Yangzhou Museum into a “Yangzhou Shuangbo Museum”.

Yangzhou Shuangbo Pavilion started construction in October 2003 and was successfully completed on April 18, 2005. The "Fireworks March International Economic and Trade Tourism Festival" was successfully completed. As a landmark in the cultural field of a cultural city, the Shuangbo Pavilion embodies the government of Yangzhou City. Cultural city, urban development ideas for building a harmonious humanistic society, is an important milestone in the development of the museum business in our city.
