Intertextile home Shanghai, started in 1995, is guided by China Textile Industry Federation, CO sponsored by China Household Textile Industry Association, China Council for the promotion of international trade textile industry branch, Frankfurt Exhibition (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. of Germany, and Beijing yushangbo International Home Textile Exhibition Co., Ltd Undertake. It is the only national professional international trade exhibition for home textile industry in China, and as one of the largest home textile exhibitions in the world, Frankfurt exhibition company, the organizer of Frankfurt home textile exhibition in Germany, has become the largest Intertextile home exhibition after heimtextile Meeting.

The exhibition exhibits are wide, ranging from a number of sets of bedding, sofa cloth, overall curtain cloth, functional sunshade, to towels, bath towels, slippers and household decorative products, textile crafts, as well as the design, CAD software, inspection and testing of household textiles.
As a national trade promotion and industry guidance department of textile industry and home textile industry, China Council for the promotion of international trade and China Home Textile Association, the organizer of the Expo, together with Frankfurt company of Germany, organized a series of activities at the Expo to promote the continuous development of China's home textile industry and further exchanges with the world's home textile industry.

After several years of development, China home textile design competition has developed from a simple three piece set of bedding to a complex household integration (not only including bedding, but also curtains, carpets, lamps, tableware and a series of household accessories). The exhibition organizers advocate the concept of hand-painted production, the ability of hand-painted, the combination of nationality and fashion are well reflected in the works. In order to more widely mobilize the attention and participation of people inside and outside the industry, so that consumers can deeply understand the design charm of home textiles, and enjoy the pleasure brought by warm, fashionable and comfortable home soft decoration culture, dasette held an online selection activity. The prize of products in kind competition is set as "fashion charm Home Textile Design Award", and the prize of creative drawings competition is set as "fashion creative home textile design award".

In recent years, China Home Textile Development Forum has continuously invited top designers from Italy, the United States, Japan and France to interpret the new concept of home textile design on site, aiming to make full use of the information platform of the Expo, recharge the home textile designers in China, and promote the construction of China's home textile designer team.  

The Expo insists on supporting originality, and still provides a special salon area for professional designers to display original works. At present, more and more overseas designers are actively participating in the designer Salon of the Expo.

The development of China International Home Textile and Accessories Fair has witnessed the whole process of vigorous development of China's home textile industry, and provided an important platform for commercial trade for home textile enterprises. Many home textile enterprises have gradually stepped onto the stage of domestic and foreign trade through this Expo. And every Expo, organizers will invite many domestic and foreign trade traders, buyers, agents. Tens of thousands of professional visitors from more than 100 countries and regions come to the Expo every year. At the same time, a large number of professional media also carry out a series of follow-up reports on the development of the Expo, which makes the Expo become the main purchasing base of overseas home textile buyers in China, as well as an important conference for domestic home textile industry merchants and enterprises.

In the late August of each year, the global home textile manufacturers and purchasers will gather in Shanghai National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai) to participate in the annual event.
