Starch industry is an important follow-up industry of agricultural products. In recent years, the starch industry in China presents a sustained and good development trend. Great changes have taken place in the growth of total amount and speed, the adjustment of industrial structure and product structure, the application of new technology and new equipment, and the improvement of enterprise scale, economic benefits and scientific and technological level. It has become one of the dynamic industries in the national economy. In 2018, under the dual guidance of national policy guidance and production subsidies, the starch deep processing output and new production capacity continued to be released, the industry competition pattern changed, the concentration degree further improved, the product quality and production technology of starch and deep processing industry were greatly improved, and the development of China's starch industry has entered a steady and healthy development stage. According to the annual report statistics of China Starch Industry Association, the total output of all kinds of starch in China was 30.093 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 10.02%; the total output of starch deep processing products was 16.3268 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 12.54%. During the 12th Five Year Plan period, in order to achieve the effective control of food consumption, energy consumption, water consumption and other indicators, enterprises still need to do a lot of work, so as to make the starch industry production mode more in line with the requirements of low-carbon and green environmental protection.
