In 2018, the 6th Macao International Tourism (industry) Expo (hereinafter referred to as "Tourism Expo") won the "brand Exhibition Award" of Macao Convention and Exhibition Award, and the second place of the "outstanding consumer Exhibition Award" of the Asia Association of exhibition and conferences (afeca) Asia Awards, which is a recognition and encouragement for our work, and is the second place for the Tourism Expo The sustainable development brings new impetus. In 2019, the Tourism Expo will come to the seventh session. As the organizer, the Tourism Bureau of Macao SAR government will continue to work closely with the organizer, Macao Travel Agency Association, to innovate the contents of the Expo and further expand its scale, build an efficient platform for exchange and cooperation, and improve business efficiency.
 
In the new era of the country, Macao will play its unique advantages, actively participate in the construction of the "belt and road" and the Great Bay area of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, together with the opening of the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge, opening a new page for regional tourism cooperation and the development of Macao's tourism industry.
 
To grasp the good momentum of regional tourism development, the Tourism Expo focuses on giving full play to Macao's advantages as a platform of China and Portugal and an important node of the maritime Silk Road, as well as its role in the Great Bay area of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao. At the same time, it stimulates Macao's cross domain creativity as a UNESCO - "food city of creative cities", and promotes the integration and development of "tourism, simple, HTML, DOM, voku and plus" industries, Cooperate with the construction of tourism and leisure industry to create diversified business opportunities for tourism and related industries at home and abroad.
