1、 Background of the meeting

As an important gathering place and advanced manufacturing highland of China's foam materials industry, the Pan Pearl River Delta region has formed a full chain collaborative ecology from upstream raw material research and development, process equipment manufacturing, midstream product production, and downstream multi field applications, relying on the perfect industrial supporting system of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area. Currently, under the guidance of the "dual carbon" strategy, the foam material industry is accelerating its transformation and upgrading towards green, functional, and high-end directions, becoming an important carrier for practicing circular economy and green manufacturing.

Looking ahead to the 15th Five Year Plan, China's new materials industry has been listed as a core area of strategic emerging industries, with a focus on breaking through key material technology bottlenecks and supporting the development of high-tech industries such as new energy, low altitude economy, and aerospace. The "15th Five Year Plan" of Guangdong Province proposes to accelerate the development of strategic emerging industry clusters such as new energy, new materials, and low altitude economy, and strengthen advantageous industries such as new energy storage, unmanned aerial vehicles, and unmanned ships. This series of strategic deployments has opened up a broad market space for the deep application of foam materials in the fields of new energy vehicle lightweighting, battery pack protection, low altitude aircraft structural components, intelligent packaging protection, high-end shoe material cushioning, energy storage system insulation, etc.

In order to actively respond to the national strategic deployment and seize the major opportunities of APEC, Yidian Alliance will hold the "2026 International Foam Material Technology Innovation and Application High Quality Development Conference (Pan Pearl River Delta Station)" in Shenzhen on November 26-27, 2026. The theme of this conference is "Green Foam: Co creation, Sharing, and Sustainability", with a focus on two core technologies: bead foaming and supercritical fluid foaming. In depth discussions will be held around innovative applications in five major industries: new energy vehicles, low altitude flight, intelligent packaging, shoe materials, and energy storage.

The bead foaming technology, with its excellent free formability and high expansion rate, has been widely used in scenarios such as battery pack protection for new energy vehicles, non structural components for low altitude aircraft, and high-end cold chain packaging; Supercritical fluid foaming technology replaces traditional chemical foaming agents with carbon dioxide or nitrogen gas. As a representative technology of green manufacturing, it is accelerating its penetration from traditional fields such as shoe materials and packaging to high value-added scenarios such as new energy and energy storage, providing solid technical support for the industry's green transformation.
