1. Strong driving force of national strategy, continuous release of policy dividends

In April 2026, the President of Azerbaijan signed a decree on the development of mining and metallurgical industries, officially launching the formulation of the National Plan for the Development of Mining (Metal Ore) and Metallurgical Industries from 2027 to 2030. The national plan aims to promote economic diversification and deepen industrialization, providing clear top-level design, policy support, and regulatory framework for the mining industry. Against the backdrop of global energy transition and high-tech development driving the growth of metal demand, the strategic significance of the mining sector has been further enhanced.

In terms of gold resources, Zod Gold Mine is the largest gold mine in the Caucasus, with a JORC standard recoverable reserve of 1.03 million ounces. Azerbaijan's gold production will increase by 11.3% year-on-year in 2025.

The export of copper ore and concentrate surged from 8200 tons in the same period last year to 62000 tons, an increase of nearly 7.5 times.
