In order to fully implement the work deployment of "strengthening food and drug safety supervision" proposed in the report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, deeply implement the new era of agricultural and rural reform and development ideas, further combine food safety with promoting rural revitalization strategy, expanding domestic demand, and deepening supply side structural reform, implement the rural revitalization strategy with the new development concept, stimulate the endogenous driving force of service consumption with food safety, and provide strong support for promoting high-quality economic development. The Shanghai Modern Edible Agricultural Products Exchange and Promotion Center and the Shanghai Food Safety Work Federation are scheduled to hold the "23rd National High Quality Agricultural Products (Shanghai) Procurement and Trade Fair and the 5th China (Shanghai) Edible Agricultural Products Safety Development Conference" at the Shanghai Agricultural Exhibition Center from November 27-30, 2026. The exhibition is themed "Food is paramount for the people, food safety is the top priority; starting from the source, creating a better life", showcasing characteristic and advantageous products from various provinces, cities, counties, and rural areas, promoting high-quality, natural, green, and healthy food to Shanghai citizens, and providing business opportunities for participating enterprises to explore markets, cooperate in development, promote brands, and connect production and sales.

To promote the safe and high-quality development of edible agricultural products, the Shanghai Modern Edible Agricultural Products Exchange and Promotion Center has joined hands with various organizers to jointly organize exhibitions and visits for exchange.
