Exhibition Background

It is expected that by 2035, the scale of China's silver economy will grow to about 30 trillion yuan, with enormous industrial potential. The 2025 Government Work Report clearly proposes to "improve the policy mechanism for developing the elderly care industry and elderly care industry, and vigorously develop the silver haired economy".

In order to implement the national strategic deployment of "actively responding to population aging" and "developing the silver haired economy", the Hunan Provincial Party Committee and Government, as well as the Changsha Municipal Party Committee and Government, have successively issued relevant documents. In 2025, important documents such as the "Implementation Opinions on Strengthening the Elderly Care Industry and Promoting the Development of Silver Hair Economy" (Xiangzhengbanfa [2025] No. 48) issued by the General Office of the People's Government of Hunan Province and the "Implementation Opinions on Promoting the Construction of Basic Elderly Care Service System" (Changzhengbanfa [2024] No. 1) issued by the General Office of the People's Government of Changsha City clearly put forward the medium - and long-term goals for the development of silver hair economy in Hunan Province: by 2029, a basic elderly care industry pattern that is in line with the situation in Hunan Province will be formed, the elderly care service capacity will be significantly enhanced, and the scale of silver hair economy will be initially formed; By 2035, we aim to achieve a mature and standardized elderly care industry system, balance the supply of silver hair products with the overall development needs of the elderly population, and promote high-quality development of the silver hair economy.

In order to help strengthen the elderly care industry at the provincial and municipal levels and promote high-quality development of the silver economy, and based on the successful hosting of the first Changsha International Health and Wellness Industry Expo, the "2026 Changsha International Elderly Care and Wellness Industry Expo" is now scheduled to be held from June 25th to 27th, 2026.

Exhibition Review
