The equipment manufacturing industry has always been one of the pillar industries in Anhui Province. In the past five years, the average annual growth rate of Anhui's equipment manufacturing industry has exceeded 15%, with a revenue of 950 billion yuan in 2022, ranking seventh in the country and leading the growth rate in the Yangtze River Delta and central regions. High end manufacturing accounts for 45%, reaching 430 billion. Photovoltaic, CNC machine tools, robots and other industries are leading in the country.

From January to May 2025, industrial enterprises above designated size in Anhui Province achieved a total profit of 79.47 billion yuan. In the first quarter, the added value of the equipment manufacturing industry grew rapidly, especially the automobile manufacturing industry and the computer, communication, and other electronic equipment manufacturing industry, which increased by 31.7% and 21.1% respectively. In May, the computer, communication, and other electronic equipment manufacturing industry grew by 36.6%, the metal products industry grew by 16.9%, the general equipment manufacturing industry grew by 8.6%, and the automobile manufacturing industry grew by 8.5%. In the first quarter, the added value of high-tech manufacturing increased by 20.1%, 10.9 percentage points higher than that of industries above designated size. Explanation:
