Exhibition Background

MTM Metal World Expo (Shanghai) was founded in 1986 and will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2026. It is the flagship exhibition of the metal metallurgy industry in China, with the longest history, largest scale, and most complete industrial chain. It will be held from December 3-5, 2026 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center, with an exhibition area of over 40000 square meters, more than 1000 exhibitors, and over 40000 professional visitors, covering the entire industry chain of metallurgy, casting, forging, steel pipes, stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, industrial furnaces, surface treatment, and metal forming.

At present, the metal industry has entered a critical period of strong environmental supervision, low-carbon transformation, and resource recycling. Metallurgy, casting, forging, sheet metal, surface treatment, electroplating and coating are all facing rigid demands for wastewater, exhaust gas, dust, solid waste, hazardous waste treatment, and energy conservation and carbon reduction. The current concurrent exhibitions mainly focus on materials, processing, forming, and surface treatment, lacking independent, professional, and full category metal industry environmental protection and solid waste hazardous waste treatment special exhibition areas. A large number of environmental protection equipment, chemicals, operation and maintenance, energy-saving and low-carbon enterprises cannot be centrally displayed and accurately connected.

As an official supporting sub exhibition of MTM Metal World Expo, this special exhibition focuses on the environmental protection needs of the entire metal industry chain, creating a one-stop procurement and technical exchange platform for "wastewater exhaust gas solid waste/hazardous waste energy conservation and low-carbon online monitoring third-party services". It complements the main exhibition and existing sub exhibitions rather than competing, sharing a massive amount of precise procurement flow, filling the gap in the same exhibition at the same time, and helping metal enterprises upgrade their compliance, green low-carbon and resource recycling.
