The 2026 Zhejiang (Shaoxing) International Tea Industry Expo will be held from January 1st to 4th at the Shaoxing International Convention and Exhibition Center (Keqiao)! At the beginning of the new year, let's meet by Jianhu Lake and use tea as a medium to embark on a new chapter in the industry.
This year's Shaoxing Expo is based on the profound tea culture heritage of Shaoxing and the golden location advantage of the Yangtze River Delta, radiating to Zhejiang, connecting Shanghai and Jiangsu, and linking domestic and foreign markets, creating a professional platform for showcasing the tea industry, trade, and cultural dissemination.
Shaoxing, formerly known as Yuezhou, is an important node of the Zhejiang Eastern Canal and a crucial relay station for the dissemination of Tang culture. It is renowned as a "land of cultural relics and a land of fish and rice". This is not only a renowned wine town, but also a tea town with profound cultural heritage.
The Tang Dynasty tea sage Lu Yu praised the excellent quality of Shaoxing tea in his book "The Classic of Tea", stating that "the eastern part of Zhejiang is superior to Yuezhou"; In the Song Dynasty, Shaoxing's daily cast tea became famous throughout the world as tribute tea! To this day, Shaoxing's textile industry, construction industry, yellow wine, optoelectronic information, biomedicine, new composite materials, and other industries are particularly developed. The unique regional culture and industrial economy blend with tea culture here, complementing each other and giving birth to a unique and rich Vietnamese tea style.
This year's Shaoxing Tea Expo will fully rely on the geographical advantages and economic vitality of Shaoxing as an important node city in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration.
