Exhibition Introduction

The 2026 Pyongyang, North Korea Spring International Commodity Exhibition and 2026 Pyongyang, North Korea Autumn International Commodity Exhibition are hosted by the Korea International Exhibition Society, a directly affiliated institution of the Ministry of Trade of North Korea. They are currently the largest and most effective international exhibitions in North Korea. This exhibition was founded in 1998 and is held once a year. Since 2005, it has been held twice a year in spring and autumn. The North Korean Spring and Autumn Exhibition is not only the largest international event of the year in North Korea, but its function is similar to China's Canton Fair. It is also the only way for foreign companies to enter the North Korean market. Chinese companies can take advantage of the opportunity to participate in the Pyongyang International Commodity Exhibition to showcase imported North Korean products to the North Korean people and find North Korean distributors and partners.

In October 2025, 450 companies from North Korea, China, Pakistan, Russia, Poland and other countries and regions participated in the Pyongyang Autumn International Commodity Exhibition. Exhibition Highlights

1. The exhibition has received full support from government departments and is hosted by the North Korean Foreign Economic Relations Association, a subsidiary of the North Korean Ministry of Foreign Economic Affairs. It is a national level exhibition in North Korea and the largest exhibition in the region, equivalent to North Korea's "Canton Fair".

China mainly exports goods to North Korea

Textiles and clothing: accounting for over 29% of the export trade volume, including clothing, shoes and hats, umbrella feather hair products, etc. ‌‌

From the above statistical table, it can be seen that the most exported products from China to North Korea are textiles, clothing, shoes, hats, umbrellas, feathers, and hair products, with an export value of 4.1 billion yuan, accounting for 29.30% of China's total export trade to North Korea.

Next are chemicals and plastic rubber products, with an export value of 3.9 billion yuan, accounting for 27.60%.

After screening the main grains and food products exported from China to North Korea, six sub categories have been sorted out, namely:

China exported 173700 tons of grain (mainly rice, with a small amount of wheat and corn) to North Korea, with an export value of 560 million yuan, accounting for 3.97%;

96000 tons of vegetable oil and fat were exported, with an export value of 870 million yuan, accounting for 6.16%;

Exported 107900 tons of flour (mainly wheat flour, with a small amount of malt and potato flour), with an export value of 313 million yuan, accounting for 2.22%;

106500 tons of sugar were exported, with an export value of 489 million yuan, accounting for 3.46%.

8531 tons of cream were exported, with an export value of 207 million yuan, accounting for 1.476%.

Exported 10200 tons of tobacco, with an export value of 540 million yuan, accounting for 3.82%.

The export value of these six sub categories mentioned above is 3 billion yuan, accounting for 21.10% of China's total export trade to North Korea.

In addition, China exported furniture, lighting fixtures, toys and other miscellaneous products worth 627 million yuan to North Korea, accounting for 4.44%; The export of ceramics and glass products amounted to 464 million yuan, accounting for 3.29%.

The above products account for 85.72% of China's total export trade of goods to North Korea.
