In March 2024, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and four other departments issued a notice on the issuance of the "Trial Plan for Innovative Application of General Aviation Equipment (2024-2030)". The plan proposes that by 2027, China's general aviation equipment supply capacity and industrial innovation capacity will be significantly improved, and new general aviation equipment with unmanned, electrified, and intelligent technological features will be commercially applied in urban air transportation, logistics distribution, emergency rescue, and other fields.

In December 2024, the Low altitude Economic Development Department of the National Development and Reform Commission was officially established, responsible for formulating and implementing low altitude economic development strategies, medium - and long-term development plans, proposing policy recommendations, and coordinating major issues. This is a key milestone in the development of China's low altitude economy, with profound significance for the development of various fields of low altitude economy. And over 26 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the central government have included low altitude economy in their government work reports, proposing specific development plans and policy support.

Developing the general aviation manufacturing industry and accelerating the innovative application of general aviation equipment are important measures to shape new driving forces and advantages for the development of the aviation industry, promote the development of low altitude economy, and accelerate the construction of a strong manufacturing and transportation country. Against the backdrop of this, the "2025 Second Shanghai UAV System Technology Exhibition", also known as the Shanghai UAV Exhibition, jointly hosted by the Yangtze River Delta Smart City Low altitude Economy Federation and Shanghai Huamei High altitude Exhibition Co., Ltd., was held in Shanghai. The 2nd Shanghai Unmanned Aerial Vehicle System Technology Exhibition 2025 will be held from October 15th to 17th at the Shanghai International Procurement Exhibition Center.
