Development prospects:

Against the backdrop of the accelerated transformation of the global energy structure towards cleanliness and low-carbon, hydrogen energy, as the most promising secondary clean energy of the 21st century, is becoming a strategic high ground for future energy technology revolution and industrial development. Zhengzhou strives to promote 4295 fuel cell vehicles and build 76 hydrogen refueling stations within the four-year demonstration period. As of the end of 2024, the city cluster has promoted 2588 fuel cell vehicles, with a cumulative pure hydrogen operating mileage of over 60 million kilometers, and 42 hydrogen refueling stations have been built within the province.

Zhengzhou plans to promote no less than 2500 fuel cell vehicles and install 200 hydrogen refueling stations by 2025. By 2025, Zhengzhou aims to promote 600 fuel cell vehicles and build a total of 80 hydrogen refueling stations. Strive to achieve domestic leadership in fuel cell vehicle manufacturing, core materials, and key components, form a reasonable hydrogen energy layout and industrial development cluster, and establish a low-cost hydrogen energy supply system for vehicles. By 2035, the annual output value of the hydrogen energy industry is expected to exceed 100 billion yuan, and Zhengzhou will be built into a "Central Plains Hydrogen Capital" with international influence.

In terms of the industrial chain, Henan has achieved the localization and large-scale application of seven key components such as fuel cells and air compressors through vehicle driving and technological innovation, and the localization rate of core components has reached 95%. As a leading enterprise in the industry, Yutong Group has ranked first in the production and sales of fuel cell vehicles for three consecutive years.
