Exhibition Overview

The China Electronic Information Expo, guided by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, is held annually in Shenzhen in April. It showcases the latest and most comprehensive innovative achievements of China's electronic information industry, leading the high-quality development of the industry and going global. It has developed into the first and world-class electronic information industry event in Asia. The China (Western) Electronic Information Expo is based in the Chengdu Chongqing region with Chengdu as its core, committed to exploring the vast application market in the western region and enhancing the domestic and international influence of the industry. It began with the China (Western) Electronic Exhibition held in Chengdu and Xi'an in 2007, settled in Chengdu in 2013, and officially renamed as the China (Western) Electronic Information Expo in 2020.

Since settling in Chengdu in 2013, the 13th China (Western) Electronic Information Expo has been held every July, with the theme of "Information Empowerment, Upgrading Digital Driving Vitality". The exhibition scale has grown from the initial 5000 square meters to the current 40000 square meters, becoming a benchmark for the high-quality development of the electronic information industry in western China. It has also become a comprehensive platform for the release of new products, supply and demand matching, industrial cooperation, industry finance cooperation, competitive competitions, and talent exchange in the electronic information industry in western China.

Sichuan - China's New Future

The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council have issued the Guiding Opinions on Promoting the Western Development in the New Era and Forming a New Pattern, which is another huge benefit for the Western Development. General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out that developing the digital economy from a global perspective is a strategic choice to seize the new opportunities of the new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation, and is a key area of international competition. We must seize the opportunity and seize the high ground of future development. Electronic information, as the core industry of the digital economy, has accelerated the reconstruction of the electronic information industry chain and supply chain in recent years due to factors such as increasing geopolitical uncertainty and profound changes in the international factor comparative advantage pattern. In September 2024, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council issued opinions on implementing the employment priority strategy to promote high-quality and full employment, and enhance the employment carrying capacity of regional coordinated development. Deepen the implementation of regional coordinated development strategies and major regional strategies, accelerate the formation of a number of employment clusters and growth poles with integrated services, policy connectivity, and smooth channels. New functions of Sichuan's digital economy:

Sichuan will accelerate the construction of 5G networks and complete the construction of 30000 5G base stations within the year. By the end of the year, 5G network coverage will be achieved in 21 cities (prefectures) and the main urban area of Chengdu will be fully covered; Implement the "County to County 5G" project and complete the construction of 1338 5G base stations in 143 counties (cities, districts).
