This will drive the rapid development of the renewable energy market, including wind power generation. Shandong Province is one of the regions with abundant wind resources in China, so it has a significant advantage in wind power generation. In recent years, the industrialization and urbanization process in Shandong Province has accelerated, and the demand for electricity has gradually increased. Wind power has become the fastest developing new energy industry in Shandong. With the continuous construction of new wind power projects, the installed capacity of wind power in Shandong continues to expand, and the wind power industry in Shandong has ushered in a historic development opportunity. According to the plan of Shandong Province, the focus will be on building large-scale wind farms in coastal areas in the future, and gradually develop towards shallow waters, constructing a number of offshore wind power projects. The 2024 China Shandong International Wind Energy Technology and Offshore Wind Power Equipment Exhibition and Development Forum, jointly organized by the China Machinery Industry Federation, China Environmental Culture Promotion Association, China Electrical Engineering Society, and Shandong New Energy Industry Association, will be held from August 15 to 17, 2024 at the Yantai Bajiaowan International Convention and Exhibition Center.
