Brand History of Shanghai Environmental Expo

The Shanghai Environmental Expo originated from the Shanghai International Environmental Water Exhibition (EPTEE) founded in 2000, as well as the IFAT CHINA (the parent exhibition IFAT was founded in Munich in 1966 and is currently the world's largest and most influential environmental expo) that entered China in 2004. In 2010, two major exhibitions formed a strong alliance and upgraded their brands to "IE Expo Shanghai".

As an environmental protection industry event held in China under the Munich IFAT Environmental Protection Exhibition, the IE Expo Shanghai, held annually in Shanghai, has been deeply cultivating China's environmental protection industry for 26 years and has developed into the world's second largest environmental protection exhibition after IFAT Exhibition. It is a large-scale environmental protection exhibition in Asia that integrates business negotiations, technical exchanges, market expansion, brand marketing, trend release, and international cooperation. At the same time, the Shanghai Environmental Expo entered southern China in 2015 and western China in 2019, forming an annual spatial layout of three exhibitions in three locations (Shanghai Exhibition, Chengdu Exhibition, Guangzhou/Shenzhen Exhibition). Relying on the geographical advantages of each region, the exhibition's influence covers all of Asia, injecting a continuous stream of endogenous power into the development of environmental protection enterprises.

The 28th Shanghai Environmental Expo, scheduled to be held from April 20-22, 2027, will revolve around the theme of "Connecting Global Opportunities and Exploring Emerging Momentum", focusing on industry hotspots such as environmental resource utilization, recycling, low-carbon, high-value, specialization, digitalization, and emerging trends.
