【Exhibition Introduction

Uzbekistan International Medical Exhibition is a well-known professional medical and pharmaceutical exhibition in Central Asia, which greatly promotes the development of the medical and pharmaceutical industry in Uzbekistan and Central Asia, and also makes Central Asia one of the most promising markets for development. This exhibition will be held concurrently with the Uzbekistan Dental Exhibition. Since its launch, it has received strong support from the Ministry of Public Health of the Republic of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Stomatological Association, the Uzbekistan General Administration of Medical Technology, and the Tashkent City Government.

【Market background】

The Republic of Uzbekistan is located in central Central Asia and is known as the Pearl of Central Asia. Uzbekistan is adjacent to Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and the Kyrgyz Republic. Uzbekistan is a famous ancient country on the Silk Road and has a long history of connection with China's Silk Road.

Uzbekistan has a total population of over 35 million and a total area of 447400 square kilometers.

Uzbekistan has 8322 medical and disease prevention organizations, including 1018 hospitals, 3825 medical clinics, and rural medical organizations.

More than 4500 formulations have now been registered in Uzbekistan. More than 2000 drugs are produced by foreign pharmaceutical companies, approximately 1300 are produced by CIS countries, with 250 substances and diagnostic methods, and over 300 drugs registered and produced in Uzbekistan. Currently, over 80 overseas pharmaceutical companies operate in Uzbekistan, with the largest pharmaceutical product company mainly coming from Russia, Ukraine, Germany, Poland, France, and the United States

There are only 92 manufacturers of medical equipment and medicine in Uzbekistan.

Before Uzbekistan's independence in 1991, there was only one pharmaceutical factory in the pharmaceutical market of Uzbekistan, and most of the required drugs were imported from other countries. After independence, it has developed to 18 pharmaceutical factories, of which 6 are domestic pharmaceutical factories, and the other 12 are joint-venture pharmaceutical factories established with Britain, Germany, India, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Türkiye and other countries. We produce about 300 commonly used drugs, but they are far from meeting the domestic market demand. There are over 1000 commonly used drugs in demand in Ukraine, and all of them need to be imported due to demand gaps. In addition, 70% of the raw materials for drug production also rely on imports.
