Exhibition Overview

The 2024 Philippine Maritime Shipbuilding Exhibition focuses on the Asian shipbuilding market and is the most professional maritime shipbuilding industry event in the Philippines. It is the largest and most influential international maritime exhibition in the Philippines, and one of the country's most important trade platforms.

The previous Philippine International Maritime Shipbuilding Exhibition attracted over 300 exhibitors from over 20 countries and regions around the world, as well as over 9000 professional visitors. The participating companies include ship repair and construction enterprises and shipyards, ship supporting product suppliers, electric and electrical motor engines, maritime services, and ship operation equipment, etc. The professional audience includes company presidents, senior executives, independent buyers, procurement personnel, and technical engineers.

Market Introduction

Shipbuilding: The Philippine government and private sector partners have also made significant efforts to attract foreign investment and further develop local shipbuilding and supply chains. Recently, Cerberus Capital Operations and large investment companies such as Austal have stated that they will attempt to enter or continue to expand their investments in the Philippine shipbuilding industry. With these assistance, the local shipbuilding industry will continue to develop into a more important part of the economy - occupying a more important position globally, while also gaining richer profits.

Shipping:

The goal of the Maritime Administration (MARINA) is to fully implement its 10-year plan and the Marine Development Plan (MIDP) by 2028, which will promote 100% growth in the Philippines' offshore development industry. This will increase the contribution of the industry to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) from 720 billion pesos to 1.44 trillion pesos.
