The Istanbul International Yarn Exhibition has been successfully held for 18 sessions. South Korea, India and Türkiye are the second, fourth and sixth largest markets for China's yarn exports. The export volume from January to April was 250 million, 150 million and 100 million dollars, with year-on-year growth of 82.49%, 50.45% and 149.03%. According to Chinese customs statistics, the national yarn import and export volume from January to April 2010 was 4.679 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 42.95%. Among them, the export amount was 2.925 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 43.65%; The export quantity was 997700 tons, a year-on-year increase of 35.25%; The average export unit price is 2.93 US dollars per kilogram, an increase of 6.21% year-on-year. The import amount was 1.753 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 41.79%. In the 1960s and 1970s, Türkiye became one of the major garment producing and exporting countries in Europe relying on cheap raw materials and labor. In less than 20 years from the early 1980s to 1999, Türkiye's textile and clothing industry exports increased from 160 million dollars to 10 billion dollars.

According to the forecast of Türkiye Textile and Clothing Exporters' Union, Türkiye's textile and clothing exports will increase by at least 8%, reaching 19 billion US dollars. Türkiye's clothing exports to Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom have also made significant growth. Exports to Bangladesh and Pakistan increased by 43.29% and 30.48% to US $170 million and US $90 million, respectively. Exports to South Korea, India and Türkiye grew rapidly. Türkiye's textile industry has adapted to European countries' requirements for product quality, environmental protection and safety. The quality of goods is getting higher and higher. Manufacturers are determined to make Türkiye's textiles and clothing synonymous with high quality, It makes its products expensive because they are "made in Türkiye".

Türkiye is the second largest source country for European countries to import textiles and clothing, and the United States is another large market developed by Türkiye after Europe. Türkiye's textiles and clothing accounted for 2.9% and 1.9% of the US market respectively. In addition to the United States and Europe, the textiles and clothing produced by Türkiye are also very popular with residents in the Arab world and Eastern European countries. Previously, Türkiye was a net exporter of cotton, but since 1992, this situation has reversed. It has become a cotton importer, because Türkiye's domestic demand for cotton continues to grow, which has exhausted its inventory in previous years. In addition to cotton, Türkiye also needs a large number of wool, man-made fiber and other products.
