Chengdu is one of the central cities in the western region and a comprehensive transportation hub. The Secretary attaches great importance to the development of the digital economy and smart transportation. The Outline of the Construction of a Strong Transportation Country, the Outline of the National Comprehensive and Stereoscopic Transportation Network Planning, and the Overall Layout Plan for the Construction of Digital China have made clear arrangements for the development of smart transportation, the digitization of transportation infrastructure, and the construction of a digital China. Smart light poles are an important component of smart transportation infrastructure construction, capable of collecting, publishing, and transmitting data and information from multiple industries such as lighting, public security, municipal administration, meteorology, environmental protection, and communication. At the same time, as an important component of the construction of the 5G era's vehicle networking, cloud network, and communication network, smart light poles will also be widely applied.

In order to better accelerate the integration and development of smart light poles in smart cities and transportation construction, expand the application of 5G smart light poles in transportation construction, strengthen the overall layout and collaborative construction of transportation infrastructure and information infrastructure, promote the deployment and application of the Internet of Vehicles, and strengthen the coordination with new infrastructure construction, this will bring new opportunities for 5G smart poles.
