The International Authorization and Derivatives (Shenzhen) Exhibition evolved from the anime IP authorization exhibition area of the Guangzhou Toy Exhibition. The exhibition was first held in 1989 and is the oldest toy exhibition in China. The scale has been expanding year by year. In 2010, the organizers began to hold the Guangzhou Children's Car Exhibition at the same time, and in recent years, the number of brand exhibitors participating has been increasing year by year. Starting from 2020, the three exhibitions will officially move to Shenzhen and be renamed as the International Toy and Educational Products (Shenzhen) Exhibition, the International Baby Carriage and Maternal and Child Products (Shenzhen) Exhibition, and the International Authorization and Derivatives (Shenzhen) Exhibition (referred to as the Shenzhen Toy Exhibition, Shenzhen Children's Carriage Exhibition, and Shenzhen International Authorization Exhibition), covering various authorized IPs, full range toys, and baby and child products.

Along with the concurrent exhibitions Shenzhen Toy Exhibition and Shenzhen Infant and Child Exhibition, the 2024 Shenzhen International Licensing Exhibition will make a strong comeback from April 8-10, 2024 at the Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center, showcasing IP image, seeking licensing opportunities, engaging in cross-border cooperation with other industries, exchanging industry information as a platform, and further promoting the development of China's licensing market.
