The Ningbo International Machine Tool Equipment Exhibition (ChinaMach) began in 2000 and was renamed as the China International Machinery Industry Exhibition and the China International Machine Tool Equipment Exhibition with the approval of the former Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation and the Ministry of Commerce from 2003 to 2020. It has been successfully held for 23 sessions so far.

Due to the rapid development of the Chinese economy and the enormous market potential of Ningbo and even East China as important manufacturing bases in China, the Ningbo International Machine Tool Equipment Exhibition (ChinaMach) has become a well-known exhibition brand in Ningbo, Zhejiang, and even throughout China, receiving commercial praise.

The Ningbo International Machine Tool Equipment Exhibition was born in response to the demand for manufacturing equipment. Against the backdrop of the strong development of the exhibition industry by the Ningbo Municipal Government, it has developed rapidly. From 2004 to 2006, it was designated by the municipal government as the host exhibition project of the Ningbo Municipal Government and was a "strong promotion" exhibition by the Ningbo Municipal People's Government. In 2006 and 2007, the Ministry of Commerce supported and guided the exhibition. Since 2007, it has been fully market-oriented and organized by Yazhuo Exhibition Services Co., Ltd. It is a well-known regional brand exhibition in China's machine tool equipment industry, with a large scale and influence.
