In 2011, more than 3000 pump related enterprises and more than 80000 employees in Wenling pump industry, together with the motor industry, created an industrial output value of 38 billion yuan, realized profits and taxes of 2.85 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 19.2%, and the domestic market share reached 70%. It accounts for a quarter of the industrial output value of Wenling City, and the water pump industry has become the largest pillar industry of Wenling City.
In recent years, by building modern industrial clusters, promoting the listing of enterprises, encouraging independent innovation, accelerating the construction of development platform and other measures, Wenling water pump industry scale has grown rapidly, brand benefits have gradually emerged, forming a high degree of agglomeration of characteristic industrial clusters, and has been listed as one of the first batch of 21 massive economy to modern industrial cluster transformation and upgrading demonstration areas in Zhejiang Province.
