Inner Mongolia has the largest total wind energy reserves in China, with a technological development capacity of 150 million kilowatts, accounting for about 50% of China's land. It is one of the earliest provinces in China to develop wind power industry. The richness of wind energy resources and the urgency of energy conservation and emission reduction have accelerated the development of wind power in the autonomous region. At present, more than 300 enterprises have entered the Inner Mongolia wind power industry, and a large number of wind power projects have been completed and put into operation. Starting from Alxa Gobi in the West and Hulunbuir grassland in the East, Inner Mongolia has invested more than 40 billion yuan to build a number of large-scale wind farms. Wind power has become the second main power source of Inner Mongolia power grid. At the same time, the wind power equipment manufacturing industry matching with the wind farm construction seizes the market opportunity and gets rapid development. A large number of domestic and foreign wind power equipment manufacturing enterprises have settled in Inner Mongolia, reducing the cost of wind power generation in manufacturing, transportation and other links, greatly promoting the development of Inner Mongolia wind power industry.
