The exhibition venue will be moved from Guangzhou to Shenzhen and will be held at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center from November 25-27, 2026. This exhibition will closely focus on the core issues of APEC 2026 "China Year", accurately focusing on the urgent needs and broad prospects for cooperation in the digital, intelligent, green transformation, and infrastructure interconnection of rail transit in the Asia Pacific region. Taking advantage of the strategic opportunity of the strong empowerment and linkage of the international cooperation agenda for rail transit at the APEC summit, and with the significant leap in the internationalization level of the exhibition, the "2026 12th Guangzhou International Rail Transit Exhibition" has been officially upgraded to the "2026 12th World Rail Transit Exhibition". This upgrade marks the official entry of the exhibition into a new stage of global operation, and its English abbreviation "iMetro" will continue to be used. The upgraded "iMetro World Rail Transit Exhibition" will be based in China, serving the Asia Pacific region, radiating globally, connecting global rail transit industry supply and demand resources more widely, gathering world wisdom, committed to promoting global rail transit technology innovation and sustainable development, and writing a new chapter of cooperation and win-win results.

Starting from 2026, iMetro will strategically choose to tour the two core engine cities of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area - Guangzhou and Shenzhen. This innovative model breaks through the spatial limitations of traditional single city exhibitions and builds an industry display and docking platform that is "linked by Guangzhou and Shenzhen, driven by dual cores". The 12th World Rail Transit Exhibition (iMetro) in 2026, with the theme of "AI Empowerment, Green Intelligence Innovation - Building a Sustainable Global Rail New Ecology Together", will unite with national ministries and provincial governments, rail transit equipment and central enterprises, scientific research think tanks, leading enterprises, and provincial and municipal rail transit investment and operation units as leaders, linking the forefront of the industry with "government, industry, academia, research, application, and finance" to promote high-quality development of the rail transit industry.
