1、 Exhibition Overview

The national "15th Five Year Plan" clearly proposes to initially establish a clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient new energy system, continuously increase the proportion of new energy supply, promote the safe, reliable and orderly replacement of fossil fuels, focus on building a new power system, and build an energy powerhouse. As an important national energy base, Shanxi shoulders the significant mission of deepening the energy revolution and accelerating the construction of a new energy system in the 15th Five Year Plan.

Since the 14th Five Year Plan, Shanxi has made historic breakthroughs in energy transformation. In 2024, Shanxi Province will have the highest green power transmission volume in the country; By 2025, the installed capacity of new and clean energy will reach 90.48 million kilowatts, accounting for 55.1% of the province's installed power generation capacity, surpassing coal-fired power for the first time and achieving the "14th Five Year Plan" goal ahead of schedule. Currently, Shanxi is taking the "15th Five Year Plan" as a guide to accelerate its transition from a "coal rich province" to an "energy strong province", focusing on key tasks such as creating new forms of comprehensive energy services, "two climbs" in the coal industry, deepening the transformation and transformation of the power industry, and promoting the large-scale development of new energy. In this context, the 2026 China (Taiyuan) International Energy Industry Expo (hereinafter referred to as the Energy Expo), hosted by the People's Government of Shanxi Province, is scheduled to be held from September 3 to 6, 2026 at the Xiaohe International Convention and Exhibition Center in Shanxi Province. The planned exhibition area for this year's Energy Expo is 60000 square meters. It will closely follow the national "15th Five Year Plan" energy plan, focus on the entire energy industry chain, and set up 11 specialized exhibition areas, including the Energy Transformation Technology Innovation Exhibition Area, International Exhibition Area, Key Energy Province and City Exhibition Area, and New Energy and New Power Exhibition Area. It will comprehensively showcase the cutting-edge trends of green and low-carbon transformation, intelligent upgrading, and international cooperation in the energy industry. At that time, energy companies, research institutions, and industry experts from multiple countries and regions around the world will gather together to explore new paths, opportunities, and developments in energy transformation.
