Exhibition Introduction:

Under the guidance of the "Water Control and Revitalization of Xinjiang" strategy, the water conservancy industry in Xinjiang is moving towards a new journey of high-quality development with great momentum. With the comprehensive launch of the "15th Five Year Plan" for water conservancy in Xinjiang, 15 major projects with a total investment of over 300 billion yuan are ready to take off, and a blueprint for efficient utilization of water resources with "North South mutual assistance and East West connectivity" is slowly unfolding. At the same time, under the double opportunities of the "the Belt and Road" initiative and the construction of the new land sea channel in the west, southern Xinjiang, as an important frontier of China's opening up to the west, has a more prominent strategic position. Among them, Kashgar, with its unique international hub advantage of "five ports connecting eight countries and one road connecting Europe and Asia", has become a key hub node connecting China and the hinterland of the Eurasian continent.

However, the current development of water conservancy in Xinjiang also faces many challenges and core needs, such as optimizing the allocation of water resources and ensuring water conservancy in the arid areas of southern Xinjiang, which urgently need to be solved; The demand for the construction of water infrastructure and upgrading of water supply and drainage systems in the hinterland of Asia and Europe is very urgent; Difficulties such as saline alkali land management, water-saving in characteristic agriculture, and utilization of high-altitude glacier meltwater also urgently need to be overcome. To actively address these challenges and promote high-quality development of Xinjiang's water conservancy industry, the 2026 Southern Xinjiang International Water Conservancy Technology and Water Supply and Drainage Technology Exhibition will grandly kick off from May 22-24 at the Kashgar International Convention and Exhibition Center.
