The 12th World High Speed Railway Conference will open on July 8, 2025 at the National Convention Center under Beichen Group. This conference is an international event to showcase and exchange the development level and achievements of high-speed railways in the world. It was first held in Beijing in 2010 and settled at the National Convention Center. After 15 years, it was held in Beijing for the second time, and was introduced by the National Convention Center project team in coordination with the organizers. The conference is jointly hosted by China Railway Group and the International Union of Railways (UIC), with the theme of "High speed Railway: Innovative Development for a Better Life". More than 30 activities will be held, including opening and closing ceremonies, roundtables, and technical exchange meetings. Discussions will be held on the latest technologies and achievements in the fields of high-speed railway planning and construction, technical equipment, and operation management. An "Innovation Journey" and technical visit will be organized at the National Railway Experimental Center, with participation from international railway organizations, global large-scale railway enterprise managers, well-known high-speed railway experts, and others.

The 17th China International Modern Railway Technology and Equipment Exhibition, held simultaneously, is the largest railway industry exhibition in Asia. It will have indoor and outdoor exhibition areas at the National Convention Center and the National Railway Test Center, with a total exhibition area of 40000 square meters. The National Convention Center has set up 16 themed exhibition areas, including the China Railway Development Achievement Exhibition Area and the Railway Innovation Alliance Exhibition Area, to comprehensively showcase the latest technology, equipment, and operational achievements at home and abroad; The outdoor exhibition area of the National Railway Test Center has a parking line length of 5500 meters, mainly used for displaying real trains such as high-speed trains (intelligent high-speed trains), locomotives, and high-speed comprehensive inspection trains.

This exhibition is divided according to the railway profession, with exhibits covering the latest technologies and products in various railway specialties.
