The China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, was founded in 1957 and is held in Guangzhou every spring and autumn. It has successfully held 132 sessions and is currently the longest, largest, most comprehensive international trade event in China with the largest variety of goods, the largest number of attending buyers, the widest distribution of countries and regions, the best transaction results, and the best reputation. In recent years, the number of domestic and foreign exhibitors at each offline exhibition of the Canton Fair has reached 26000, covering 16 major product categories, gathering high-quality suppliers from various industries, and attracting nearly 200000 professional buyers from more than 200 countries to participate in procurement. The 130th Canton Fair in 2021 has expanded the invitation for domestic buyers to participate for the first time, with a total of over 600000 buyers attending. In terms of online exhibition, the official website of the 132nd Canton Fair in 2022 will have more than 38 million visits, and 510000 overseas buyers will register enterprise level information, with Source covering 229 countries and regions around the world.

Starting from the 101st session, the Canton Fair has established import exhibitions to expand imports and promote trade balance, helping international enterprises expand business opportunities in China and globally. After 33 years of development, it has attracted more than 15000 overseas companies from over 100 countries and regions to participate, including numerous high-quality national/regional exhibition groups and world-renowned enterprises.
