China Xi'an International Science and Technology Industry Expo and hard science and Technology Industry Expo, formerly known as "China Xi'an International Science and Technology Industry Expo", was decided as a regular meeting by the municipal government at the 59th mayor's office meeting in 2004. In 2019, the overall plan of Xi'an Science and Technology Expo was fully discussed, studied, revised and improved according to the instructions of the leaders of the municipal government, and the conference was upgraded to "China Xi'an International Science and Technology Industry Expo and hard science and Technology Industry Expo" (hereinafter referred to as "Xi'an Science and Technology Expo"). With the purpose of serving high-tech industries, promoting the transformation of local high-tech achievements, and promoting economic and technological exchanges and cooperation between eastern and western regions and internationally, it has grown year by year. At present, Xi'an Science and Technology Expo has formed a comprehensive science and technology exhibition sponsored by the government, participated by departments and operated by the market.
Over the past 14 years, Xi'an Science and Technology Expo has focused on front-end scientific research and gathered high-tech and innovative achievements at home and abroad, with an exhibition area of 32000 square meters. A total of 120 provincial and municipal governments have been attracted to participate in the exhibition. More than 4000 high-tech enterprises and institutions have gathered in Xi'an, with more than 1000 recommended projects and more than 300 investment promotion projects signed. It has achieved remarkable social and economic benefits, gradually increased its influence in the country, and is praised by the media as a new "city card" in the field of science and technology in Xi'an.
