Ordos (Kangbashi) International Convention and Exhibition Center is one of the seven cultural buildings in Kangbashi New District, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. In the modeling design, a variety of symbols and elements reflecting Mongolian Yuan culture are integrated. The entrance hall is in the shape of yurts, and the three large exhibition halls are in the shape of saddles.
Ordos International Convention and Exhibition Center is a key supporting project for Ordos City to develop urban construction and improve urban functions, taking the 11th Asian Art Festival as an opportunity. In the construction, through the application of new technology in the architectural decoration industry, the construction quality is improved, the construction progress is accelerated, and the construction safety is ensured. The project won the Luban Prize of China Construction Engineering in 2010.
Ordos Exhibition Center is one of the seven major cultural buildings in Hubei, with a total building area of 47500 square meters. It is composed of conference center and exhibition hall. Among them, the conference center has a building area of 31540 square meters, including a multi-functional hall for 900 people, a lecture hall for 300 people, 29 small and medium-sized conference rooms and an underground parking lot that can accommodate 99 parking spaces. The exhibition hall has a building area of 15940 square meters and consists of three small exhibition halls with equal area. Each small exhibition hall can arrange 200 standard booths. The construction of the exhibition center was officially started on March 16, 2007, and many symbols and elements of Mongolian Yuan culture, such as yurts and saddles, were integrated into its modeling design.
The estimated investment of the project is about 400 million yuan, covering a total area of 83375 square meters and a total construction area of 47480 square meters. It is composed of conference center and exhibition hall. The exhibition hall covers an area of 15940 square meters and consists of three small exhibition halls of equal area. Each small exhibition hall can arrange 200 standard exhibition booths. Ordos Exhibition Center is an important venue for the 11th Asian Art Festival.
The Convention and Exhibition Center is located in the east of Ordos Municipal government, Kangbashi New District, Ordos City, with a straight-line distance of less than 1km and a driving time of about 4 minutes.
