In November 2001, Ezhou museum should invite 10 people to Zhuozhou film and television city to cooperate with the science and education center of CCTV to shoot the large-scale documentary "resurrected army". The craftsmen in the play include smelting, molding, smelting, casting and post casting machining, all of which are taken by the staff of our Museum. The play has seven episodes in total. The post production has been completed and will be completed In April this year, CCTV broadcast a set of prime time. On June 30, 2000, Hou Dejun, Li Taoyuan and Chen Xian of Hubei Provincial Archaeology Institute came to Ezhou hall to conduct the simulation experiment of smelting and casting technology in the Shang Dynasty, and they were successful and made into Fangding. This experiment can prove that the ancestors of Shang Dynasty who did not have iron tools could carry out casting directly with their hands in small and medium-sized furnaces.

On November 6, 2002, the metal history professional committee of the Chinese society of science and technology history, the ancient coins Professional Committee of the Chinese Numismatic Society, Hubei Numismatic Society, Ezhou Numismatic Society and Ezhou Museum jointly held the "National Symposium on metal history and coins history" in Fenghuang villa, Ezhou city. Academician Ke Jun made a keynote speech at the conference. The Research Institute of Ezhou Museum specializes in the research of ancient bronze casting technology, using ancient casting technology to cast bronze mirrors, bronze swords, etc. It has successively become the bronze mold casting experimental base of Beijing University of science and technology, Institute of natural science history of Chinese Academy of Sciences, scientific and technological archaeology research office of Chinese University of science and technology, and China Numismatic Society.

In 1998, Ezhou city established the Bronze Casting Research Association, its purpose is to study the ancient bronze casting technology. Under the leadership of Ezhou Science Association, the Research Institute of cultural relics restoration and reproduction of Ezhou museum was taken as the base to explore, sort out and study the manufacturing and processing technology of ancient metal products, so as to study the science and technology of ancient China. In October 2002, Beijing University of science and technology and China Numismatic Society established a research group with Ezhou Numismatic Society and Ezhou museum to carry out a simulation experiment on the casting of coins by stone models in the Western Han Dynasty. After several casting experiments, it was proved that the stone model unearthed in the Western Han Dynasty was indeed a stone model used for direct money casting. On December 8, 1996, Mr. Kong Xiangxing, Zhu Dazhen, Shao Wenliang, Luo Zongzhen, Nanjing Museum and academician Ke Jun of Beijing University of science and technology came to our museum to inspect the bronze casting mirror.   

Accompanied by Vice Mayor Zhu Shuxia and leaders of the Municipal Bureau of culture, the unveiling ceremony was held for the five bronze model casting experimental base signs hanging at the gate of our museum. In September 2002, in cooperation with the municipal construction, the museum undertook the production and installation of large-scale copper plates with copper inscriptions on the phoenix platform. The contents of the inscriptions relate to Ezhou's political, economic, cultural and other aspects of history from ancient times to modern times. The bronze inscriptions are more than 8000 words, 26 meters long and 2.6 meters wide. After more than three months of hard work, our museum has made and installed the copper bars on the phoenix platform. In 2001, a number of ancient tombs were excavated and cleared in cooperation with municipal construction. Bronze sword, spear, spear, halberd, arrow, arrowhead, dagger, head, tripod, dun, pot, pan, Zhe, spoon cup, bronze mirror, money, etc. are unearthed. Blue Porcelain mainly includes pan Kou pot, chicken head pot, pig head pot, spit pot, pot, tiger, etc. gold and silver wares mainly include gold ring, silver hairpin, silver ring, silver bracelet, etc.

Ezhou museum is located in Xishan Scenic Area, covering a total area of 23.69 mu, with a building area of 4219.60 square meters. It is equipped with offices, security department, cultural relics and Archaeology team, Department of ground cultural relics protection, Department of display and preservation, Department of operation, Department of tourism, Institute of cultural relics restoration and reproduction and other departments.
